Plumbing & Heating Services in Bray, Wicklow & South Dublin
Need a Plumbing Issue Resolved?
Most plumbing problems in a home are small until they aren't. A dripping cylinder, a radiator that never warms up, an immersion that's stopped working — these are the jobs that sit on the list for months, and occasionally the ones that cause real damage.
Lambert & Farrell Construction carries out domestic plumbing and heating work across Bray, Greystones and South County Dublin. Because we're a building contractor rather than a plumbing-only firm, we're at our most useful where plumbing overlaps with building work: bathroom renovations, extensions, attic conversions and heating alterations, where the pipework, the layout and the finishes all have to be planned together.
If your plumbing job is part of a bigger project, you won't need to coordinate separate trades — we handle it as one job, with one team.
Our Plumbing Services
Bathroom & Ensuite Plumbing
The plumbing behind a bathroom renovation determines what's actually possible — where the soil stack sits, whether a shower will have the pressure to perform, whether a new layout is realistic. We handle full bathroom plumbing as part of our renovation work: relocating pipework, fitting sanitaryware, showers, baths and taps, and connecting everything correctly first time.
Renovation & Extension Pipework
New kitchens, extensions and attic conversions almost always mean moving or extending pipework — first-fix through to second-fix. We plan it alongside the structural and finishing work, so pipes aren't an afterthought routed around a finished build.
Hot Water Cylinders & Immersions
Replacing an ageing or leaking hot water cylinder, fitting a new immersion heater, or upgrading to a better-insulated cylinder for more efficient hot water. Common signs yours needs attention: water that runs lukewarm, visible corrosion or damp around the cylinder, or hot water that runs out far faster than it used to.
Radiators & Central Heating
Fitting new radiators, replacing old ones, relocating them as part of a room layout change, and dealing with radiators that stay cold at the bottom or won't heat at all. We also carry out heating alterations as part of extension and renovation work, where new rooms need to be brought onto the existing system.
Leaks, Repairs & Pipework
Tracing and repairing leaks, replacing failed pipework and fixing the problems that cause damp. As a full building contractor, we can also put right the damage a leak has caused — plasterwork, flooring, tiling and mould — rather than leaving you to arrange separate trades once the plumbing's fixed.
Water Pressure & Supply Issues
Poor water pressure, slow-filling tanks, and supply problems that make showers disappointing. We diagnose the cause rather than treating the symptom — pressure issues are often the result of pipework, tank or valve problems elsewhere in the system.
Plumbing as Part of a Bigger Project
This is where we're genuinely different from a plumbing-only firm.
On most home projects, plumbing is one trade among several — and the coordination between them is where things go wrong. A bathroom needs the plumbing, tiling, waterproofing, electrics and finishing to happen in the right order. An extension needs the pipework planned before the floor goes down, not chased in afterwards.
We carry out plumbing in-house as part of our extensions, bathroom renovations and attic conversions. One team, one point of contact, one schedule — and nobody blaming the other trade when something doesn't line up.

How do I know if my hot water cylinder needs replacing? Common signs include water that never gets properly hot, hot water running out much faster than it used to, visible corrosion or rust, damp or pooling around the base, and unusual noises. An older cylinder is also likely to be poorly insulated, which costs money continuously. We'll assess it and tell you whether it needs replacing or just repair.
Why is my radiator cold at the bottom or not heating? A radiator cold at the bottom usually indicates sludge build-up in the system; cold at the top usually means trapped air, which bleeding will often fix. If radiators across the house are underperforming, the problem is more likely to be the system, pump or controls than the radiators themselves.
Do you do plumbing as part of a bathroom renovation? Yes — it's what we do most. We handle plumbing, tiling, waterproofing and finishing in-house, so you don't need to coordinate separate trades.
How much do plumbers charge in Ireland? Rates vary with the job — a small repair is charged differently to a cylinder replacement or a full bathroom first-fix. We quote per job after understanding what's involved rather than working to a generic hourly rate.
Can you fix damage caused by a leak? Yes. As a building contractor we can repair the plumbing and put right the resulting damage — plasterwork, flooring, tiling and mould — rather than leaving that to someone else.
